Alabama ABC Board: As of February 2026, a new process for background checks was implemented by the Alabama ABC Board. All applicants will be required to submit one FD258 Fingerprint card to ALEA. [Yes, you can obtain your fingerprint card from us - we suggest that you submit 2 cards, just in case, one card is reject for some strange reason - submitting 2 cards shortens the process.] The required State and Federal background checks are now conducted solely by ALEA and are to be submitted either in person or by mail. All applicants are required to submit one FD258 Fingerprint card to ALEA, along with the proper forms, identification, and fees.
